In an age dominated by expansion and progress, a great conflict unfolded between tradition and innovation, nature and civilization, and the relentless march of humanity against the primal forces of the wild. The mighty Dahri Empire, ever-expanding, found itself pushing against the boundaries of the Vahshi Forest, home to the ancient and reclusive Alberine.

As territorial boundaries blurred and grievances festered, the clash between humanity and the Alberine erupted into a tempest of warfare. Among the fractious skirmishes that preceded the full-scale conflict, a fateful encounter left an Alberine village in ruins, kindling a blazing fury within the hearts of the survivors. It was in this cauldron of wrath that Ormos, a figure of cunning and ambition, found his opportunity to rise, drawing followers to his banner.

Under the sway of Ormos, the Alberine were opened to further corruption and the influence of Pesmin snaked its way though their society. Together, the dark entities orchestrated a campaign of sabotage and subterfuge, sowing chaos and uncertainty amidst the Empire’s ranks.

The Alberine, under the influence of Pesmin and masters of clandestine warfare, danced on the fringes of the conflict, leaving the brunt of the battle to their brethren and the burgeoning forces of Ormos. Ormos’s followers, transformed into brutal and insatiable warriors known today as the Barbearian, surged forward with ferocity. Empowered by dark forces and bolstered by their newfound allies, the Barbearian initially held sway over the tide of battle.

Yet, as whispers of the war reached the distant halls of Siar Morrin, the gods and kingdoms of old stirred from their slumber, compelled to intervene by the specter of Pesmin and Ormos’s malevolence. With divine aid and the significant man power of the Biranian Empire at their side, the Empire’s forces surged forward, driving the Alberine back into the sanctuary of their ancestral woods.

Though the forests proved to be a formidable barrier against the combined Empires’ advance, the insidious influence of Ormos’s disciples spread like a plague, undermining the combined efforts of the Alberine, fracturing their unity. Witnessing the devastation wrought and fearing their impedeing doom, a faction of Alberine, abandoned their comrades. Instead they deserters chose to follow Pesmin, fleeing to the east over the distant peaks of the Talam Mountains.

In the final throes of battle, amidst the clash of steel and the roar of magic, lives were lost on both sides. Yet, with the divine favor tipping the scales, the Dahri Empire emerged triumphant, nearly extinguishing the Barbarian threat entirely, and inflicting much devastation on the remaining Alberine.

In the aftermath of war’s bitter toll, the Dahri Empire nursed its wounds, its once-proud heart now veiled in resentment towards the Biranian people and the gods who had intervened. Blame was cast upon the divine for the genesis of the conflict, Ormos and Pesmin seen as consequences of the actions of the Gods. Forgotten were the Empire’s own sins of greed and expansion, buried beneath the weight of collective indignation.

Amidst the smoldering embers of conflict, alliances fractured, and grievances festered, casting a shadow that would endure throughout the ages to come.
