2. Overview
House Aurorus is one of the oldest noble lines of the Tenebrim elves, long regarded as near-royalty among their people. Yet unlike their radiant cousins of House Solaris, Aurorus has always lived with humility and subtlety, their nobility worn lightly rather than displayed. Many members serve openly as hunters, rangers, or druids, contributing alongside commonfolk rather than setting themselves apart.
In recent years, rising anti-elven sentiment and the emergence of the Hollow Cult has driven House Aurorus into near-total seclusion. Though their nominal seat lies in Silverleaf, they now live dispersed through the Ridgeback, Vahshi, Dusk, and Sabhaile forests, where their presence is more rumour than fact. Despite this retreat, their quiet influence and guidance remains: whispered counsel in druid circles, unseen support for Guild Venator, and a reputation as guardians of the wild.
3. History
-
Origins: House Aurorus rose to prominence during the Eclipse War, when the Tenebrim were shattered and spent as fodder against the dark forces rising from beneath Staterum. In that desperate age, Arelith Aurorus rallied the remnants of their people, leading a decisive final push that turned the tide. In the aftermath, House Aurorus became the stewards of Tenebrim survival, guiding the rebuilding of their society. Since then, they have been regarded as quiet guardians — the house to be called upon in times of peril.
-
Notable Events: - The Hunt: When the orks overran Fort Logos, it was House Aurorus who led the relentless hunts that eradicated the fleeing warbands from the Ridgeback Forest. To this day, any claim of ork presence there is taken as a grave insult to their honour.
- Guild Venator: Played a central role in the coalition that founded Guild Venator, lending both credibility and strength to its early years. Deyra Aurorus still serves on the guild’s council, maintaining the houses voice in its direction.
- The Silent Years: In the recent years, House Aurorus now rarely appears in public. Their leaders are disputed, their gatherings secret, and their seat in Silverleaf all but abandoned — yet they endure, unseen but unbroken.

-
Current Status: Aurorus is fragmented and elusive, but not powerless. Their influence lingers in druidic circles, in Guild Venator’s ranks, and in the faith of most Tenebrim who continue to respect their authority and guidance.
4. Leadership & Family
-
Kaiven Aurorus: The reluctant heir, Kaiven assumed the mantle of leadership after his mother’s passing. Though undeniably capable and respected for his measured counsel, he has little taste for the attention or authority that comes with his position. His quiet wisdom and steady judgment earn him admiration when he does speak, but he often prefers to remain in the background.
-
Liraen Aurorus: A commanding and fiery figure, unusual traits for an Aurorus, Liraen operates out of the Dusk Forest, where the suffering of Tenebrim elves under the Neodoulas Kingdom causes much friction. Unlike Kaiven, Liraen embraces confrontation, leading bold opposition against Neodolous incursions and advocating for a more aggressive stance. Their decisiveness and courage inspire many, though others fear the potential repercussions of her approach.
-
Notable Members: - Corvus Aurorus: Skilled tracker leading efforts against the bandit menace in Collis Brigantium.
- Sereth Aurorus: Famed druid and seer of the Dusk Forest, often sought for counsel during troubled times.
- Thirra Aurorus: Renowned hunter and active representative of Guild Venator in the Ridgeback Forest.
- Elyndra Aurorus: Scholar and lorekeeper in Silverleaf, preserving Tenebrim oral traditions and histories.
- Vaelor Aurorus: head of the cadet branch operating in the Vahshi Forest.
- Nyssa Aurorus: Envoy working quietly in Sabhaile Forest to maintain ties with the Cia’an packs.
- Darian Aurorus: Veteran warrior who fought in the Age of War, now revered as a living relic of the house’s glory.

5. Culture & Reputation
- Core Beliefs: House Aurorus holds that wisdom comes not from light and grandeur but from humility, and reflection. By living close to the wild and honouring Alache, they believe enlightenment is found in the balance of shadow and silence.
- Influence: Despite their avoidance of politics, their continued wisdom and guidance, ensures their influence across Tenebrim elves from all over Staterum remains strong.
- Allies & Rivals:
- Allies: Guild Venator,
- Enemies: Hollow Cult
