Background

Raxenos’s journey to godhood is a tale marked by ambition, darkness, and transformation. Born along the tumultuous Aegir Coast during an age of seemingly endless war, Raxenos grew up amidst chaos and conflict. This environment fueled his desire for power and control, driving him to seek knowledge and mastery over the arcane arts as a means to rise above the constant strife.

His quest for power led him to Nordholt, where there existed no limits on the pursuit of knowledge. It was here that he encountered Eolas, the Fallen Goddess of Knowledge. Eolas saw in Raxenos a mortal both rife with power, and vulnerability to manipulation. Eolas and Raxenos delved into the deepest and most dangerous aspects of arcane magic. While Raxenos believed they were working towards his empowerment and the elevation to godhood, Eolas had a different agenda. She designed their ultimate ritual not merely to transform Raxenos into a deity, but to open a portal to the demonic realm in which she had been trapped.

The ritual succeeded in transforming Raxenos into a god, but it also had catastrophic consequences. The rifts to the demonic realm sparked the AoD. Raxenos’s newfound divinity was forever tainted by the chaos and destruction that followed, linking his legacy to the dark era he inadvertently helped to create.
