Description:

Perfidius Plunge is a dramatic and awe-inspiring sight. The river, which flows robustly from Lake Abscon, cascades over a sheer cliff and plunges into a vast chasm, disappearing into the earth. The roaring waterfall is surrounded by steep, rocky cliffs and lush vegetation, creating a stunning natural landscape, as well as a formidable barrier for those that seek passage along the river.

History:

Historically, the Perfidius River flowed underground, hidden from sight as it carved its way through the mountains. However, due to a significant geological event or deliberate engineering by ancient inhabitants, the ground above the river was cleared, exposing the river and creating the magnificent waterfall known as Perfidius Plunge. This transformation turned the area into a strategic and picturesque landmark. The port entrance to Iterdeep, located at the base of the waterfall, was carved through the mountains and served as a critical gateway for travelers and merchants journeying between the eastern and western regions of Siar’Morrin.
